I have done yearly detoxification therapies at your clinic for last few years but this time it was different, more effective and I am sure it will give me long terms health benefits. I feel when we do it at city based clinic and staying at home I somehow cannot follow everything as per your guidance. We tend to cheat sometimes he said with a smile. This was the feedback from my patients undergoing detoxification therapies like Vaman, Virechan, Basti and others in the residential TanMan facility. We are fully operational from march this year and I am happy for my patients that we have such a facility now. Such indoor facility ensures controlled and perfect environment, right rest, peace, climatic support, customized diet, calmness and most importantly with no TV and work related influences it delivers more effective Panchakarma therapies. This is very important especially when we are treating chronic and lifestyle diseases in which the immunity is low and an psychosomatic element is also involved. I have tried a combination of doing 7-9 days Panchakarma module divided partly in Pune based clinic and TanMan which worked really good for people who cannot afford a long stay in terms of money and time.<br />
In my seventeen years of clinical practise of delivering authentic Ayurvedic consultation, prescribing diet, lifestyle, herbs, Panchakarma therapies and therapeutic Yoga, I always felt there is something missing in the totality of what Ayurveda system of medicine I am delivering. Many shortcomings which happens on the end of patients and even sometimes in the monitoring levels could be totally avoided. <p style="text-align: justify;">In Ayurveda for this purpose seasonal panchakarma is recommended. In rainy season vata gets vitiated which is a cause of above mentioned complaints. To normalize this increased vitiated vata, ‘basti’ a kind of panchakarma is recommended.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>What is ‘basti’?</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Basti is a procedure to treat patients with herbal medicines, decoctions, medicated oils, ghee, honey, saindhav salt etc where mode of drug administration is through anus.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Action of basti</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As large intestine is prime location of vata if we treat patients by this method vitiated vata get subside at its major place and our vata problems get subside at its own place do not find path to increase at it’s another places such as joints, bones, back, skin etc. Large intestine has large absorption area i.e. intestinal flora, which permits absorption of drug immediately after its administration so quick results are possible with this panchkarma.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is one of the major five detoxification programs described in Aayurvedic texts. As vata get increased with dryness, coldness, in basti we use medicated oils, decoctions whose characteristics are opposite to vata so vata get subsided and we get relief from all pains, constipation vata skin diseases etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">By using different types of basti we can treat all diseases i.e. diseases of all 3 doshas, they get balanced and health is achieved.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">By this procedure you can achieve long healthy life, it gives healthy glow o your skin. It can reduce or increase your weight, it is age protector-it reduces signs of aging-dry saggy skin becomes tight. It rejuvenates your body, skin. Basti gives strength to you.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In this way basti itself, is a complete treatment.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Precautions for basti </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is a scientific procedure you should give sufficient time for proper results. It needs some diet and habit regimen. You should avoid&#8212;</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1] Travelling, sun exposure, and heavy exercise</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2] Loud talking , delivering speech,</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3] Day time sleep, late night sleep, coitus</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4] Heavy to digest food ,unhealthy fast food, hotel food etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Take light, healthy, satwik diet, and follow good habits during this procedure.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Types of basti</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Two major types-Types dependant on drugs used for basti</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>1] Niruha basti </strong>&#8211; This basti contains herbal decoction+medicated oil+honey+saindhav salt etc. Its quantity is more so it is expelled immediately from body. It detoxify your body by expelling vitiated dosha with decoction.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>2] Anuvasan basti </strong>&#8211; This basti contains only medicated oils, it’s quantity is less so it retains in body 1 hr to 12 hrs. It nourishes your body, oleates internally and there by reduces vata.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Generally both bastis are used on alternate day, but we can use only oil basti also, especially for old age patients, or patients with chronic constipation, dryness etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Duration of basti</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There are many courses of basti-common ones are</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>3 Days basti</strong> for rejuvenation therapy called as ‘yuktaratha basti where above mentioned diet and habit regimens are not compulsory.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>8 Days basti</strong> course-where niruha and anuvasan are given alternately.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> <strong>15/16 days basti course</strong>-for obesity or chronic diseases.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>30 days basti course</strong> for chronic, difficult to treat patients, where more dosha are involved since many days.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>21 days basti course </strong>these bastis are bone nourishing basti. These are given for osteoarthritis, back pain, calcium deficiency, spondylosis, joint pain etc. 3 subsequent bastis are given at interval of 5-7 days.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There are many bastis described in Ayurvedic texts specific for every disease, infertility, blood diseases etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Procedure of basti-</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Prior to basti-</strong>Whole body massage is given with medicated oil. This is 45-60 minutes session. After that steam bath is given with herbal decoction.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Basti- </strong>Medicine is given to patient through anus under all aseptic precautions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Post basti- </strong>Patient should take rest for half an hour, when he has sensation to pass stool he can do that. After that he has to take hot water bath and then take hot easy to digest food.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For this procedure 1.5 to 2 hours required. When you undergo proper scientific basti procedure in this rainy it will keep you healthy for at least 1 year.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">We commonly see, such statement can easily be extrapolated and enthusiasts many times go overboard.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As we know, exercise has been part of human civilization for ages. It comes with a specific dogma and rules that are mentioned for the benefit of our health. Looking at the common lifestyle and exercise pattern of most of us in this modern era, it gives me a strong reason to write about it. Ayurveda understands exercise thoroughly and strongly believes that regular and suitable form of exercise is conducive to good health. Nonetheless, if done in wrong manner it can have harmful effects.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Ayurveda very well understands our lifestyle including physical activities and diet in respect to their effects on our health. The physical acts and diet can be planned in such a way that it will be beneficial for our health.  In other words, each act can be understood as a prescription or proscription.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In relation with exercise, Ayurveda specifically advocates certain important points –</p>
<ul>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Exercise is the physical activity that should help strengthen the body and the mind.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">In any form of exercise, a proper breathing pattern proves to be a key factor for maintaining good health.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Ayurveda understands that exercise is of two kinds – <em>Shakha Vyayam</em> &amp; <em>Koshtha Vyayam – Shakha Vyayam</em> is the exercise that is mainly acts on the musculature and <em>koshtha vyayam</em> mainly acts on visceral organs and body physiology by maintaining <em>Vayu</em>.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Yogic postures, <em>Pranayam </em>(the exercise of breath) are considered as <em>koshtha Pranayam</em> and on the other hand, gym workout, athletics, marathon, sports are considered under <em>shakha vyayam</em></li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">According to Ayurveda, <em>koshtha vyayam</em> has an edge over the <em>shakha vyayam,</em> as they are beneficial in regulating body physiology and reversing pathology in many conditions.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">For any pathology, <em>Vayu</em> or <em>Prana</em> or <em>Vata</em> is a crucial player that lets manifest a disease involving other factors including bodily constituents. <em>Koshtha Vyayam</em> is the kind of exercise and helps regulate the <em>Prana</em> (or <em>Vayu</em> or <em>Vata</em>) which is the root cause for most of the pathological events. That is the reason why <em>Yoga</em> proves to be beneficial in most of the diseases when done in a proper manner.</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Irrespective of type of exercise, breathing technique is very important.</li>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">Ayurveda is the most ancient yet unambiguous Medical Science that is being used for the benefit of mankind for thousands of years. Ayurveda has emerged through the <em>Veda </em>the most ancient literature about Indian Philosophy. More than a Medical Science it is a philosophy that encompasses science, art, customs or the lifestyle. It has Physics, astronomy, astrology, combinatorial chemistry, biology, botany etc. The list will go on as anything and everything in this universe has some link to it.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Ayurveda believes in the maintenance of health that helps prevent the diseases. However treats almost all the conditions in case health is disturbed. To serve both these purposes Internal Medication, Panchakarma and certain changes in lifestyle are employed in Ayurveda.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Panchakarma is a specialized branch in Ayurveda that helps to cleanse the body by eliminating vitiated <em>dosha- Vata, Pitta and Kapha </em>(These are basic body constituents that may cause pathological conditions when vitiated) out of the body. It is used in various ailments as a special tool.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There are five main treatments viz.</p>
<ol style="text-align: justify;">
<li><em>Vaman</em> (Emesis)</li>
<li><em>Virechan</em> (Purgation)</li>
<li><em>Basti</em> (Medicated Enema)</li>
<li><em>Nasya</em> (Errhine Therapy) &amp;</li>
<li><em>Raktamokshan</em> (Blood letting)</li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Vaman</em></strong> – Induced Emesis</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is a prime Panchakarma procedure that eliminates vitiated <em>Kapha</em> mainly and up to certain extent <em>Pitta</em>. This vitiated <em>Kapha</em> and <em>Pitta</em> are responsible for numerous disorders like Asthma, hyperacidity etc. It is a well-controlled emesis induced with specific herbs and their decoctions.<strong> </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Virechan</em></strong> – Induced Purgation</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This is done with strong purgatives that eliminate the vitiated <em>doshas</em> (vitiated rudiments) out of the body and ultimately cleanse the body. This procedure is mainly recommended for <em>Pitta</em> and <em>Vata</em> disorders.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Basti</em></strong> – Medicated Enema</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Enema containing various medicines in form of herbs, decoctions, honey, oil etc is given in various diseases. The purpose is not just the cleansing of colons but the alleviation of <em>doshas</em> as well. It proves to be a very effective remedy in a number of diseases including orthopedic &amp; neurological disorders, obesity etc. <strong> </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Nasya</em></strong> – Errhine Therapy</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is the nasal route of administration of medicines. It usually recommended for diseases affecting shoulders, neck and head region e.g. Cervical Spondylitis, Chronic rhinitis (Common Cold), Neuralgias, Hair disorders etc. Medicines can be in form of decoction, milk, juice, powder or fumes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Raktamokshan</em></strong> – Blood Letting</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Letting a certain quantity of blood out of the body eliminates vitiated <em>Pitta </em>out of the body and thus helps in a number of ailments involving blood tissue and <em>Pitta</em>. It is done in two ways viz. Leech treatment and with the help of needle and syringe through vein. Leeches when applied over the affected part of the body suck the blood up to their capacity and then leave the surface on their own. It is commonly used in skin diseases, psoriasis, abscess etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Along with the main Panchakarma Treatments, there are certain allied procedures that have tremendous effectiveness over a number of diseases. </strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Snehan</em></strong> – Oleation / Massage</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It’s the most soothing treatment being done all over the world. Ayurvedaic Snehan incorporates the use of different oils and other unctuous materials. Various kinds of medicated oils, ghee etc are used to alleviate pain, fatigue and for many other purposes.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Swedan</em></strong> – Fomentation</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Fomentation usually follows the Snehan / oil Application. It can be done using steam or dry heat. Steam box, <em>Nadi-swed</em> and different varieties of sauna can be used. Steam of herbal decoctions is used for the purpose. Along with orthopedic and neurological ailments like joint pain and spine disorders, it is also beneficial in Asthma and some skin disorders.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Shirodhara </em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This is a treatment that has gained a wide popularity all over the world due to its efficacy in calming mind and relieving stress. It is a uniform flow of medicated oil / decoction / medicated buttermilk over the forehead for certain period of time. It soothes the mind and acts as a stress buster. It is commonly recommended in various neurological disorders like various kinds of headache, migraine, epilepsy etc. and hair disorders as well. It is the best treatment in hypertension to alleviate the blood pressure.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Shirobasti</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The medicated oil / medicine is allowed to rest over the head with help of a leather cap. It is beneficial in various psychological and neurological ailments.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Pishichchil</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It is a different kind of oleation where warm oil is squeezed from the pieces of cloth over the body. The procedure is valuable in Vata disorders including orthopedic and neurological manifestations. The utmost echelon of oleation can be achieved in this procedure.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Pindaswed</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This is a variety of fomentation done with the help of rice grains cooked in medicinal herbs. The rice filled in cotton bags is dipped in hot medicinal liquid and massaged all over the body. It is useful in muscular &amp; musculo-skeletal disorders and various other painful conditions like joint pain in arthritis, gout etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Agnikarma</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This is a kind of Thermal Cautery done in painful conditions like corn. Agnikarma can relieve severe pain observed in joint disorders<em>.</em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Hrudbasti</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Lukewarm oil / medicine in liquid form is allowed to rest over the chest region to benefit in cardiac disorders. It helps in Angina, septal defects (perforation in the wall of the heart), palpitations, blocks in cardiac vessels etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Katibasti</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Lukewarm oil / medicine in liquid form is allowed to rest over the lumbar region to impart the unctuousness and alleviate Vata in Vata disorders like arthritis, spondylitis and other degenerative manifestations.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong><em>Netrabasti</em></strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Here Oil or ghee is used to nourish the eyes. It is allowed to rest over the affected eye with the help of a ring and sealing agent. It is recommended in various ophthalmic disorders.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To summarize, Panchakarma is the mode of treatment that helps to maintain the health and treat the pathological conditions by altering the complete equation of the diseased condition.</p>

This year’s World Health Organization’s slogan is &#8220;depression- let us talk&#8221; That will notice that how mind is important  In India 5% of the total population is  suffering from mental health problems. Mental disease is a very huge problem in spite that we are ignoring it. Note that these are only recorded patients, there are many more patients who do not agree that their mental state is not proper, or they should take medical treatment for it. since child-hood we see tremendous stress for small kids When, they seek admission in nursery or in first standard, they have to prove themselves, and likewise for each level they have to compete the world, and must prove themselves They must earn 100% in every field, or you can say at least 90%, then only they may have bright carrier, this is a strong belief of everyone, parents, children, teachers etc. And when they achieve good success then also these overprotected kids when face some inconvenient situation, they can not handle it and undergo depression. For good, successful, and happy life is this required? You can see, that study full time, taking a very big package, winning the good job is it really successful life? Is it really happy life? The other problem is that such kids, who are familiar to only success in life, can not face failure in other field of life, and easily discouraged and become victims of mental problem.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Why this is happening? Today life became easier, all the pleasures you may get on a single finger tip, and then what is going wrong? Why people having more and more mental problems? Is it because of our ignorance about metal health? So where is the nourishment of the mind? Slowly you are involving in virtual world; this virtual world is very beautiful, attractive. We don’t have to go any where, without ant any pain,    you see beautiful places, talk [forward] about beautiful things, gift cakes, bouquet, and many more, but you do not talk, you do not wish the particular person personally, do not share the joy physically or mentally!!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> Joy or happiness is also virtual!!! For example you can see baby growing these days, There birth is merely depend on carrier opportunity, provision of baby care, house maid etc, mother thinks that baby should not hamper her carrier opportunity, she will give everything [related to physical happiness], but she can not compromise her carrier only for spending time with her kid. Parents work in a multinational company for at least 10 hours, at the end of the day are so tired, unable to even talk with child, they ask maid for his/her daily routine and think they are doing more than enough for their kid. Gradually as time spends baby becomes habitual to this situation, starts spending time with TV, Expensive mobiles, internet, and transform in a lonely, self centered, lazy boy. Now he very well knows how to handle parents. Parents think that, they are giving each and every thing as per his requirement, so it is his duty to earn more and more marks and make them to feel proud in a society While choosing his carrier they don’t pay attention towards his liking, interest, instead they want some respectable profession. If the kid’s liking is different he can’t get much success. If he fails to do this, then disaster situation is there, he is a big failure, no one wants to talk with him, and all see him like a big shame. As up till now the kid grown in a comfortable situation he is unable to tackle this problem, as he don’t have ability to share, to talk, he feels depression, in this situation if he get attracted towards some bad habits like alcoholism, drugs, smoking then he become coward, unable to face situation, again failure again depression, the vicious cycle starts now. The condition get worsen day by day and the happy kid may have bad mental disease, so in this situation he must talk with his parents, good true friends, teacher, doctor, and must overcome this situation, as life is very beautiful and merely one failure must not ruin it!!So it is very important to talk. This situation you can avoid easily by choosing right carrier for you by expressing your views with your beloved ones. If you choose your interested carrier then you can achieve great success, sky is the limit for you, and then there is no place for depression.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Also it is important to reduce your physical needs. Your happiness must not depend on physical pleasure and personal needs and will automatically reduce the time you are spending by running behind physical happiness, and you will get time to listen one another, and will automatically help to reduce problems. If you are self content, and can keep your self away from rat race, you will be the happiest man in the world. If you think that your happiness is related to big car, big house, rich life style, then you are landing in a never ending race, for that you have to run whole life behind that happiness, and you loose the small joys of life, like spending time with kids, family, watching nature etc.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For healthy mind diet is equally important. Pure, home made, diet cooked with pure mind, satvik mind is very important. For good mental state diet we consume must be satvik, satvik means the diet which nourishes all three dosha vata, pitta, and kapha and do not vitiates them. Your diet should not contain hot, spicy, deep fried, non-vegetarian, dry, stale, food, more use of onion, garlic, you are drinking more tea, coffee, or drinks, it increases pitta dosha your mind becomes Raja means unsteady, you can’t concentrate for long time, hampers your work, mental state. If you take too much heavy food, more sweets, frozen, food induce heaviness your mind, and it becomes lazy can’t capture subject easily, your performance, confidence lowers. So eat home made ghee, butter, resins, almond, fresh fruits, seasonal fruits and vegetables, freshly cooked food it will nourish your mind very well!!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">With healthy food, healthy habits are also important. Always talk sweet; you should not trouble other so that because of guilty feeling you must not suffer your mind. Always think positively, some creative thinking should be there. Don’t be panic, never let hard comments, loose sentence to hurt some one. Although the situation is worst for you, there is always next beautiful way to handle it, if you calm down and thought patiently you will find it yourself, as you are the best well-wisher of yourself. Self confidence is very important in every situation, if you don’t have faith on your ability no one will trust you so be confident!!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Be an early bird!! Always wake up early in the morning. Don’t ignore your natural calls, as it may increase vata factor in your body and mind. Do some Asana, pranayam and exercise regularly it will help you to keep mind healthy. You can also take help of some ayurvedic treatments, panchakarma, shirodhara under the guidance of ayurvedic doctor for healthy mind.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">या वर्षाच जागतिक आरोग्य संघटनेचं घोषवाक्य आहे &#8220;डिप्रेशन-let us talk&#8221; यावरून लक्षात  येईल कि मानस आरोग्य किती महत्त्वाच आहे. भारतात मानसिक व्याधीने ग्रस्त रुग्णांची संख्या एकूण लोकसंख्येच्या ५% आहे   म्हणजेच हि समस्या आपण समजतो त्यापेक्षा कितीतरी अधिक भिषण आहे  कारण हि नोंद झालेल्या रुग्णांची संख्या आहे याशिवाय नोंद न झालेले,लक्ष न दिलेले, आपली मानसिक स्थिती योग्य नाही हे मान्य न करणारे कितीतरी अधिक रुग्ण आहेत.आज आपण पाहतो अगदी लहानपणापासून प्रचंड स्ट्रेस वाढला आहे. nursery किंवा पहिलीला  प्रवेश घ्यायचा तरी तुम्हाला स्पर्धक आहेत त्यात तुम्हाला स्वतःला सिद्ध करायच आहे, मग प्रत्येक level ला तुम्हाला रोज सिद्ध करायच आहे स्पर्धेत टिकायचं आहे मार्क्स कसे पैकीच्या पैकीच हवेत फार झालेतर ९० च्या पुढे तर हवेतच तरच तुमचं काही तरी बऱ्यापैकी carrier होऊ शकते.असा पालकांचा, मुलांचा,शिक्षकांचा ठाम विश्वास आहे.आणि हे जमलं नाही कि हि overprotected मुलं आता सगळं जग हरवल्या सारख सारच काही संपल्यासारखी प्रचंड मोठ्या नैराश्याच्या गर्तेत ढकलली  जातात.खरंच  जीवन चांगलं, यशस्वी, आनंदी  जगण्यासाठी हेच आवश्यक आहे का ? फार स्पर्धेत उतरलेली, पूर्ण वेळ अभ्यास करणारी, खूप मोठा package घेणारी, मानाची नोकरी मिळवणारी सगळीच मुलं आयुष्यातही यशस्वी आहेत का? जीवनात होणाऱ्या इतर अनानुकूल  समस्येला यशस्वी तोंड द्यायला सक्षम आहेत का, कि सगळीकडे यश मिळाल्याने ते थोडंही अपयश पचवायला असमर्थ ठरली आहेत आणि छोट्याश्या दुःखाने खचून  जाताहेत  आणि मानसिक समस्येचे बळी ठरत आहेत.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">का असं होत असावं? म्हटलं तर आज सर्व सुख होत जोडून उभे आहेत, तोंडातून शब्द काढायचा अवकाश कि सारं काही हजर आहे  इंटरनेट वर ऑर्डर केली कि कुठे जायला नको हव ते हजर! मग चुकतंय कुठे.? या सर्व गदारोळात मनाचं पोषण होत नाहीये का? का मनोविकार वाढू लागलेत? हळू हळू आपण virtual जगात जास्त रमू लागलोय हे virtual  जग फार सुंदर आहे आकर्षक आहे बर प्रत्यक्ष करायच काहीच नाहीये गोष्टीतल्या परीसारखा राजमहालासारखा सारच सुंदर छान छान  बोलायचं, लिहायचं, वाचायचं, मोठे मोठे फुलाचे गुच्छ केक्स इकडून तिकडे पाठवायचे virtual गाडी चालवायची बोटानी गेम्स खेळायचे, T .V वरचे कार्यक्रम पाहायचे. अगदी पहा तुम्ही लहान एकटेच मुलं आई बाबा दोघं १०-१० तास काम करणारे गलेलठ्ठ पगार असणारे, आणि ते मुलं कामवाली बाई किंवा पाळणाघरावर विसंबून वाढणार, बरं चोकोनी कुटुंबात,सॉरी हल्ली त्रिकोणी कुटुंबात चौथ्या व्यक्तीला प्रवेश नाही त्या मुलाची लहान वयापासूनच अडजस्टमेन्टला सुरुवात होते ते संवाद विसरतात, आई बाबा कामावरून आल्यावर थकलेले, मुलं जेवला का झोपला का, विचारल की कर्तव्य पूर्ण झाले!! मान मोडेपर्यंत दिवसभर काम केलेले, ते तरी मुलाला काय न्याय देणार! मुलाला ती सवयच होते एकटा राहण्याची  प्रत्येक भौतिक गोष्ट लगेचच मिळण्याची आणि त्यातच सुख शोधण्याची!-हळू हळू तेच आवडायलाही लागत यातच संवाद कुठे तरी हरवतो ,आई वडिलांनाही अपेक्षा असते याला जे हवा ते मी देतोय म्हणजे याने भरपूर अभ्यास करून भरपूर मार्क मिळवून तथाकथित यशस्वी झालच पाहिजे  यात त्याची आवड, कल, मर्यादा याचा सोयिस्करच विसर पडतो आणि उरते ती फक्त जीवघेणी स्पर्धा, हि स्पर्धा एवढी वाईट असते खूप यश मिळाल तरी जवळचे जिवाभावाचे मित्र उरत नाही , व्यावसायिक अभ्यासक्रमात तुम्ही पहा खरंच मित्र असतात? आपली कमतरता कुणीही कबुल करू शकत नाही घुसमट होते स्वतःचच स्वतःशी युद्ध सुरु होता आणि यातून येत ते एकाकी पण ! म्हणून संवाद महत्वाचा! W H O  ला हि तेच सुचवायचं संवाद महत्त्वाचा एकटेपण टाळायचं, depression  टाळायचं तर बोला, स्वतःशी बोला जवळच्यांशी बोला- मन मोकळं करा बोलते व्हा.यशस्वी व्हा, ध्येयाकडे लक्ष द्या पण जीवघेणी स्पर्धा टाळा!!मन मोकळं करा बोलते व्हा आई-वडिलांनी मुलासाठी सगळ्यात जास्त महत्त्वाचा म्हणजे वेळ काढला पाहिजे, त्याचा / तिचा कल समजून घेऊन योग्य ते क्षेत्र निवडलं पाहिजे कुठलंही क्षेत्र वाईट नाही पण तुम्ही ज्या क्षेत्रात जाल ते तुमच्या आवडीचं असणं महत्त्वाचा तरच त्यात तुम्ही काहीतरी भरीव कामगिरी करू शकता नेत्रदीपक यश मिळवू शकता.नावडत काम आयुष्यभर करावं लागण यासारखी दुसरी शिक्षा ती काय? तुम्ही तुमच्या लाड्क्याला आयुष्यभर अशी शिक्षा देणार आहेत का, केवळ तुम्हाला समाजात प्रौढी मिरवता यावी म्हणून? न आवडत काम उगाच करायचं म्हणून केल जात त्यात प्रगतीही बेताचीच होते साहजिकच जमत नाही म्हणून नैराश्य ! प्रगती होत नाही म्हणून नैराश्य!! इतरांच्या याला हेही जमत नाही म्हणून बघणाऱ्या नजरामुळे आलेलं नैराश्य!!!&#8211;आणि हे कशासाठी तर जे आपण सहज टाळू शकणार होतो वडिलधाऱ्यांशी, मित्राशी, किंवा काही वेळा स्वतःशीच बोलून कि मला काय हवय मला नक्की काय आवडत ,त्यातच मी आनंदाने कष्ट, प्रगती करू शकतो.एवढं नक्की कि प्रत्येक व्यक्तीत  काही तरी विशेष करण्याची क्षमता असते गरज असते ती ते ओळखण्याची! व योग्य वेळी निर्णय घेऊन त्या मार्गाने जाण्याची !! मग कसलं डिप्रेशन आणि कसले मानस विकार जग जिंकण्याची क्षमता तुमच्यात असतांना कुठलेही नैराश्य तुमच्याकडे फिरकणार नाही छान  आनंदी समाधानी स्वछंदी जगा! हसत राहा बोलत राहा जेव्हा तुम्हाला उदास वाटत, खचल्या सारखं वाटत तेव्हा तुम्ही ज्यांना जवळच  समजता त्यांच्याशी बोला काही तरी आपल्यासाठी चांगला  मार्ग नेहमी असतो फक्त कधी कधी तो दाखवणारा वाटाड्या आवश्यक असतो.म्हणून बोला, share  करा  फक्त चांगले  फोटो, video विचार व्हाट्सअप किंवा फेसबुक, इंस्टाग्रामला नाही प्रत्यक्ष, वास्तविक जगात, तिथे तुम्ही मनातलं बोलू शकता virtual  जगात  सगळंच गोड गोड असते म्हणून share करा-बोला.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">या बरोबरच आणखी आवश्यक म्हणजे आपल्या वैयक्तिक गरज कमी करा भौतिक सुखावर आपलं सुख अवलंबून ठेऊ नका म्हणजे आपोआपच आपल्याला एकमेकांसाठी वेळ मिळेल, व एकमेकांना ऐकता येईल .</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">मनाच्या पोषणासाठी आहारही तेवढाच महत्त्वाचा!! चांगला, सात्विक आहाराचं महत्त्व कायमच आहे, जेवण नेहमी ताज बनवलेल, घरगुती बनवलेल असावं. आईने बनवलेल्या जेवणाची सर तुमच्या रुक्ष पिझ्झा बर्गर ला कशी यायची, गरमागरम वाफाळलेला गुरगुट्या भात मेतकूट साजूक तुपाची सर नूडल्स सिझ्झलरला येईल का? कधीतरी बदल म्हणून या पदार्थांची चव चाखायला हरकत नाही  परंतु रोजच जेवण मात्र शुद्ध सात्विक घरी बनवलेला, ताजे, खूप तिखट &#8211; मसाला नसलेले, चौरस, भाजी,पोळी,वरण, भात,भाकरी, असेच असावे.मनुका,खडीसाखर,दूध,तूप,लोणी,चारोळी,अक्रोड,बदाम, हे पदार्थ आहारात असावे.ताजी फळ सिझनल फळ, अवश्य खावी. तळलेले पदार्थ,हॉटेलचे पदार्थ,कांदा लसूण युक्त , पदार्थ चहा, कॉफ़ी सारखी उत्तेजक पेय,पुन्हा पुन्हा सेवन केल्याने शरीरात रजोगुण वाढल्याने मन अस्थिर होते.खूप कोरडे पदार्थ, फ्रोझन फूड, डबाबंद अन्न, जळलेले,पदार्थ,अतिशिजवलेल अन्न, खारट पदार्थ, शिळे,बेचव,अति गोडं, जड अन्न  मनाचाही जडपणा वाढवतो,तमोगुण वाढवत, व मन नवीन विषय ग्रहण करायला असमर्थ ठरते म्हणून सात्विक अन्नचा मनाच्या पोषणात मोठा भाग आहे, चांगलं अन्न पाहिल्यावर मनही कस प्रसन्न  होतं!!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">चांगल्या आहाराबरोबरच चांगल्या सवयीही प्रसन्न मनासाठी खूप महत्त्वाच्या आहेत.नेहमी असा वागावं ज्यामुळे दुसऱ्याला क्लेश, दुःख होणार नाही,व आपल्या मनालाही वाईट वागण्याची, बोलण्याची टोचणी राहणार नाही.नेहमी चांगले विचार करावा, काहीतरी creative करायचा  विचार करावा,टोकाचे विचार,प्रतिक्रिया टाळावी, धोंडा वेळ शांत राहिलो कि आपोआपच विपरीत परिस्थितीतून  योग्य मार्ग सापडतो  , आक्रस्ताळी न वागत! हेवे-दावे टाळावे,प्राप्त परिस्थितीत समाधानी राहिल्यास खूप प्रश्न आपोआप सुटतात.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> सकाळी लवकर उठून व्यायाम करणे हि देखील अशीच चांगली सवय! वेगविधारण न करणे म्हणजे शरीराचे नैसर्गिकरित्या जे वेग येतात,मल- मूत्र विसर्जन,भूक-तहान याची वेळेवर काळजी घ्यावी म्हणजे वातविकार वाढल्याने रजोगुण वाढल्याने होऊ शकणारे मानस विकार होत नाही.याबरोबरच प्राणायाम, योगासन, योग्य व्यायाम याचाही मन प्रसन्न ठेवण्यास,प्रसंगी ताळ्यावर आणायला नक्की उपयोग होतो.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">याबरोबरच आवश्यकता असल्यास आयुर्वेद तज्ज्ञांचा सल्ला घेऊन शिरोधारा, बस्ती,नस्य यासारखे पंचकर्म व औषधी तूप,काढे याचा योग्य उपयोग नक्कीच तुमचं हरवलेला मन जागेवर आणायला मदत करेल.</p>

										<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p style="text-align: justify;">Obesity has become a challenging condition to handle. It’s not limited to a bunch of adults only but it has started to affect kids making them more vulnerable physically and mentally. Obesity according to Ayurveda the Spiritual Science of Health is considered an ailment like any other disease. According to Ayurved, any disease is sheer imbalance of doshas (fundamental constituents of body) along with derangement of dhatus (bodily tissues). The healing according to Ayurveda is setting the equilibrium of all the body constituents.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">For every disease there are some causative factors associated with it. These causative factors are nothing but our own lifestyle flaws or imperfections. All the bodily functions, conversion of food into vital body constituents is done by a kind of energy – called as Agni or digestive fire. It is the digestive capacity of every individual. Digestive fire or Agni inside the body needs to be nurtured in the best possible way and should be protected in every manner. This Agni is responsible for health and its alterations for afflictions. Along with intake of over nutritious food, over eating and lack of exercise there are some other causative factors that cannot be ignored. These factors play a vital role in obesity.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">These are also the commonest mistakes done that create hindrance in the desired process of weight-loss.</p>
<ol style="text-align: justify;">
<li style="text-align: justify;">Consumption of Cold water and cold food</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Daytime nap (Siesta) OR waking up very late</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Lack of spices in diet</li>
<li style="text-align: justify;">Consumption of alcohol in excess</li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Cold water or cold food is a vital adversary of health. Cold foods create a kind of slowdown in our system that causes slow (diminished digestion and unhealthy metabolism at a subtle level). According to Ayurveda the Spiritual Science of Health, excessive cooling properties of ingested material always have an effect of lowering the Agni that acts as a precursor for almost every disease including Obesity. The prime action in Obesity needs to be staying away from Cold food or drinks. This includes ice cold shakes, drinks, raw food in excess etc. On the contrary warm / hot water has a stunning effect in Obesity. Regular intake of hot water (as per the thirst) certainly helps to reduce the fat in our body.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Ayurveda believes in the characteristics of food items; source of cultivation; qualities of food; and also their medicinal values. Every plant grown on earth has some medicinal values in it. It’s the role of humans to understand them and deploy at necessary places. Ayurved understands food according to their characteristics like light, heavy, hot, cold etc. These are the effects they impart to our body after digestion. Tastes also determine the effect of food e.g. sweet, sour and salty food causes increase in the bulk and so is not beneficial in obesity. The source of food and the processing done over it has a strong impact on the qualities of food. Grazing animals develop lightness in them due to their activity that makes their meat, milk lighter. Whereas animals kept in cramped places; refrained from movements; biologically and genetically hypertrophied etc. create a kind of pathogenesis on a subtle level that causes various imbalances and stagnation of kapha energy which is responsible for excessive fat accumulation.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Along with all these aspects of the food, the method of cooking and eating is also important. The heat treatment is essential for the digestion and metabolism of the food. The food should be warm or hot. The eating should be in proper amount i.e. half portion of stomach should be filled with solid food; a quarter for liquid and remaining portion should be left empty for facilitating the process of digestion.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As per the biological clock it is advisable to get up in the morning before the sunrise. Sleeping excess and waking up late in the morning increases kapha energy in our body, which is one of the factors for causing weight gain or obesity. Similarly taking a nap in daytime will have the same effect of Kapha increase. Spices like black pepper, dry ginger, piper longum, asafetida, turmeric etc have a good effect in reducing fat from the body. These spices are pungent and hot and may cause heating in body but when used in proper amounts, it helps to reduce the fat.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Alcohol consumption in excess has a malicious effect on the process of Fat Metabolism. It’s one of the main factors that are responsible for fat accumulation. Alcohol in excess reduces Oja / Ojas from the body. It is believed to be the essence of health and helps to keep mind and body in a perfect state of wellbeing. It needs to be protected by reducing alcohol intake and also by leading a controlled sexual life. Obesity creates a state of body that shows over nourishment of fat and under nourishment of other tissues in the body which makes it fragile and more vulnerable emotionally as well as physically. Such conditions graciously welcome various other ailments concerned with various organs of the body. Emotional breakdowns leading regular intake of antidepressants can be healed by understanding our own body pattern and by a strong determination to overcome that. Meditation is such a vital truth that helps to believe in ourselves in our determination and to control the emotional outbreaks.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Regular physical exercise is also a crucial link that builds us emotionally as well as physically. It’s less important what kind of exercise you do but how consistently you do it is very important. Yoga is a kind of exercise that helps to set equilibrium of various energies inside the body. Various Yogic postures and breathing exercises help emphatically in obesity and various other diseases. To get rid of Obesity and excess weight, one needs to develop a kind of patience and endurance with the thoughts and determination. Meditation, exercise and dietary changes together help achieve the goal of Comfortable Body and Mind.</p>
